Product description
Exceptional coffee table, Model No. 9 by Dutch designer Louis van Teeffelen, 1960s. The tabletop is reversible: on one side solid teak with beautiful continuous wood grain, on the other side fully finished with a mosaic-print laminate in shades of teal, green, and terracotta. This allows you to choose between a calm, warm teak look or a striking graphic mosaic pattern — entirely depending on your mood or interior.
The base is made of solid teak, with slightly tapered legs and turned wooden knobs that hold the tabletop in place and allow it to be flipped. Beneath the tabletop is a woven rattan (pit cane) shelf, a typical detail from this period of Dutch design.
This table is in good vintage condition, with an honest, authentic patina befitting a piece over 60 years old.
