Original vintage pendant lamp by Louis Poulsen, type 19540, made in Denmark. Known as the Værksted pendant lamp or workshop pendant, this model was designed by Axel Wedel Madsen and combines functional Danish industrial design with a now timeless, minimalist form. Reference sources date the design to 1951. The large, white enameled metal shade has a characteristic stepped shape with a conical top. The bright, glossy interior reflects the light broadly downwards. The lamp is in excellent vintage condition.
