Large French-made chest of drawers, late 19th century.
- Solid wood frame, walnut top and sides.
- The front is entirely veneered in burr walnut,
veneered from a single plank; symmetrical pattern.
- The top is not original,
with chamfered corners at the front, made of solid walnut.
- 5 white wood drawers, dovetailed.
Burr walnut fronts, the patterns follow and align.
Bronze keyhole escutcheon with chased floral details.
- Wide legs, veneered in Louis Philippe style wood.
Paneled wood back and front.
Large and attractive chest of drawers, in very good condition.
Note: the top lock is not functional. One key is included. The piece has been fully treated against insects, is unaffected, sound, stable, and solid.
