Step back into the 1980s with these beautiful Dutch wall lamps.
The 'Lotus' designer lamp, designed by Dutch designer Menno Dieperink for Profilight in 1982.
A total of 4 pieces available; the price is per piece.
Black and gray painted steel, two round opaque glass discs supported by a V-shaped bracket. A red metal cable hangs from the bottom for the on/off switch.
The basic geometric shape and industrial character of this lamp are influenced by Dutch postmodernism and the Rietveld tradition, the German Bauhaus, and the Italian Memphis style.
This lamp is a true statement piece of Dutch design. The shape of the lamp is reminiscent of a stylized lotus flower, hence the name 'LOTUS'.
These specific wall lamps were originally used by an architect in a Memphis-style building built in 1988 in Hoofdplaat. I still have the original architectural documents for this Profilight lamp from 1982, including the original prices. See photos.
Very good vintage condition, completely original, and works perfectly.
