Livio Seguso, heavy Murano glass bowl, Rainbow Design, 1993.
This bowl is a rare design piece designed by Livio Seguso. The rainbow creates a beautiful lens effect with the right light or exposure. The rainbow colors are interrupted by a dripping organic black line. A bulbous piece has been added where the flap folds. That sphere has a glass bubble on the inside that enhances the play with light, an intuition that he will magnify in his sculptures.
The bowl is marked at the bottom with “Bisazza Vetro 1993”.
