This rare panoramic format (22 x 97 cm) offers a true window onto the cosmos, where the artist brilliantly fuses Western abstraction and Eastern poetry.
Through a vibrant palette of umbers, ochres, and deep reds, Lebadang invites us to a visual meditation on infinity.
Lê Bá Đặng (1921–2015), known as Lebadang, was an internationally renowned French-Vietnamese painter, sculptor, and printmaker. Arriving in France in 1939, he studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Toulouse before establishing himself on the Parisian art scene. His work is a poetic and delicate fusion of Eastern philosophical thought and modern Western abstraction.
He tirelessly explores nature, memory, and the cosmos through rich textures and warm colors.
A great innovator, he is famous for his "Spaces," relief paper sculptures created on handmade paper.
Today, his legacy is celebrated worldwide and in his own contemporary art museum in Hue, Vietnam.
