A small table piece that alone encapsulates that particular elegance of Limoges porcelain from between the two wars. A refined form, color, a few touches of gold, and above all, a lot of lightness. The slightly curved body is adorned with fine vertical fluting that catches the light and adds movement to the porcelain's whiteness. The distinctive handle ends in an elegant volute, while the spout extends with an almost theatrical curve. These geometric lines allow the piece to be dated to around , still largely marked by Art Deco influence. It is the floral decor that immediately catches the eye. A large purple tulip with old-rose nuances is accompanied by small blue and cream flowers and delicate foliage. The painter left a lot of white space around the bouquet, which gives it all its freshness. Fine gilded highlights follow the rim, the handle, and the base with just the right touch of preciousness. This milk jug can naturally find its place on a table, but it is almost even more charming with a few small flowers, placed on a dressing table, a bedside table, or a console. A beautiful piece of Limoges porcelain, elegant without being overly ornate, and perfectly representative of French taste from the interwar period. Height approximately 13 cm.
