For sale is a completely restored original Peter Hvidt & Orla Molgaard Nielsen coffee table from the very beginning, when the company was still called France & Daverkosen.

Description:
Solid wood tabletop with tapered, turned, and detachable legs
Manufacturer:
France & Daverkosen, later France & Søn, Denmark
The company was founded around 1948 by businessman Charles W. France and Danish cabinetmaker Eric Daverkosen. In 1957, when France's son Julian France joined the company, the name was changed to France & Søn.

Teak (dark brown with a beautiful reddish tint and natural color variations)
Note: The photos are overexposed to show the pristine condition in detail. This makes reddish tones appear redder and colors generally lighter. The shadowed areas, or those not directly illuminated by the camera light, best represent the true colors. Any gloss or grayish or milky appearance in the photos is due to the lighting (reflections). The surfaces have a satin to semi-gloss finish.

Condition:
This coffee table has been lovingly and traditionally restored. It shows no signs of wear and is therefore in excellent technical and visual condition, looking like new! Finding one in better condition would be extremely difficult.

TRANSPORTATION:
We have found that transport via Whoppah courier is sometimes significantly (100-150%) higher than the market price charged by standard furniture removal companies and couriers! We can arrange more affordable transport via a furniture removal company within Germany, to the Netherlands, to neighboring German countries, or within the EU, if necessary. Affordable non-EU transport via a general cargo carrier in a special wooden crate may also be possible.
