Knut Hesterberg is a world-renowned German sculptor who began his career at the graphic arts and design studio in Zurich, Switzerland. There he met the architect and artist Max Bill, who had a significant influence on Hesterberg's future work. Hesterberg's sculptures have been exhibited throughout Europe. Many of his large sculptures are on permanent display in public buildings throughout Germany, and some are also in Italy. In the late 1960s, he designed sculptural table forms, particularly for Ronald Schmitt Eberbach and, to a very limited extent, for Bacher Tische in Renningen near Stuttgart, aiming to bring art into people's everyday lives.

Note: The subtle greenish tint in the glass is a characteristic of the quartz sand from which the glass is made. The higher the iron oxide content in the quartz sand, or the thicker the glass, the more pronounced this beautiful greenish hue becomes.

Condition:
Like new, completely restored, unique, and certainly the best available worldwide! Signs of wear? None to be found. The glass top is also new. The table itself is no longer available new from Ronald Schmitt.

Affordable non-EU transport via a general cargo carrier in a special wooden crate may also be possible.
