SET PRICE for two steel bar stools from the top French brand Ligne Roset, named LA PLIEE
Two rare bar stools from the French design label Ligne Roset, model La Pliée.
A minimalist, industrial design from the late 1990s–2000s featuring a fully welded steel construction and a dark lacquered finish. The design is characterized by the subtle curves (“pliée” = folded) of the legs and seat — a poetic translation of metal into a functional object.
The stools are in very good vintage condition with light signs of use on the paintwork (especially on the seat). These marks form an authentic patina that suits the aesthetics of industrial steel. The surface can optionally be repainted for a ‘like new’ appearance.
Completely constructed from solid steel plate and tubing, welded and finished with black powder coating (light gloss). The seat and footrest are a structural part of the frame. Beautiful minimalist design, high quality, high end…the asking price is for the set of two
The design language of the La Pliée fits within the French postmodern-minimalist trend of the 1990s, in which Ligne Roset experimented with ‘sculptural utility’. The design echoes influences from Jean Prouvé and Dominique Perrault (architectural steel), with the tactile sleekness also seen in Paulin and Ducaroy.
Form and function in one fluid fold.
Aesthetically, it can be placed between industrial and architectural design: a piece that fits just as well in a modern loft as in a gallery-style setting. Seat height is 76, total 102 cm, 37 wide and 46 deep

Very special
Signs of wear in the top layer of lacquer, mainly on the seat
They still look very fine, and if you were to have them repainted in a desired color, they would be in like-new condition again
