The LC2 armchair, designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand, is an iconic piece of 20th-century design history, produced by Cassina. The chair combines a sleek, architectural design with the comfort of high-quality materials, making it a timeless classic. The armchair is constructed from a chrome-plated steel tubular frame that encloses the loose, black leather-covered cushions. This construction, in which the frame is visibly positioned on the outside, was revolutionary for its time and emphasizes the designers' functionalist approach. The cushions are filled with a combination of materials that ensure a firm yet comfortable seat. The frame features the original Cassina engraving and serial number, confirming the authenticity of the piece. The armchair is in good condition, with a beautiful patina that the leather has developed over the years. The cushions have retained their shape well, and the chrome-plated frame still shines like new, testifying to the durable quality of Cassina production. Minor scratches on the leather are visible in an inconspicuous location. The production number is 52717. The elastic belts on these chairs, which tend to sag over time, were replaced this year with original Cassina belts (photo 4).
