Product description
A Late 19th to early 20th century large antique copper and brass pitcher, possibly French in origin. It may have been used for ceremonial or functional purposes involving significant quantities of liquid. Possible to use as an umbrella stand or as a decorative item.
This is a tall, hand-hammered copper vessel with brass detailing, including a prominently curved brass handle and brass at the base and the mouth. Hand-hammered, riveted joints (especially where the handle meets the body), and a visibly aged patina with dents and irregularities—indicative of traditional craftsmanship.
Form: Long cylindrical body with a flared top spout. The handle is robust and fixed with rivets, designed for durability. Sits on a brass-plated base, slightly wider to ensure stability.
Dimensions: Spout 19.50 x 28.50 cm. Height 71.50 cm Diameter of base 25.50 cm Weight: 2.35 kg
Condition: Light wear consistent with age and use, Presented in very good antique condition.
