A beautiful vintage piece with a sculptural design, characteristic of Vallauris ceramics, featuring a thick, textured glaze known as "fat lava," highly sought after today for its raw, organic appearance.
The contrast between the deep brown base and the raised beige glaze drips creates a striking, almost mineral-like visual effect. The thick handles and the narrow neck enhance its decorative character.
Signed "Vallauris" on the base, both handwritten and stamped into the clay.
This piece is typical of the Vallauris workshops, a major center of French ceramics in the mid-20th century.
A striking decorative piece, ideal for a vintage, brutalist, or contemporary interior.
