Large Georges Pelletier “70s Accolay-Style Zoomorphic Sculpture Lamp
This large zoomorphic sandstone lamp in the style of Georges Pelletier in Accolay was produced in France in the 1970s.
H: 49 cm, H: 80 cm with lampshade
Accolay (Yonne, France) the potters of Accolay or the story of a great community adventure that began in 1944 by a group of four friends, all students of Alexandre Kostanda. An initial bell kiln made the manufacture of jewelry and ceramic buttons possible.
In 1945, Christian Dior ordered 300 of them for his "New Look" collection. It was the beginning of a success story that ended in 1983.
