A beautiful and imposing Chinese baluster vase in porcelain stoneware with a fine, natural crackle glaze, famille verte style, dating from the early 20th century (1900-1935). Handcrafted, it is hand-glazed with a polychrome decoration of birds, peonies, flowering branches, and stylized rocks. The base bears an apocryphal Chenghua (成化年製) mark incised within a dark square cartouche, indicating a later, inspired production after the reign of Chenghua. A beautiful piece with a striking presence, as decorative as it is representative of Chinese production of this period.
Height 42 cm, maximum diameter 22 cm. In perfect condition, with fine crackle glaze and a lovely natural patina; no damage to report. Weight approximately 3.5 kg.
