Product description
A large ashtray or pocket voider in the organic shape of a tulip, this original shell glass bowl was produced in the 1970s in Murano, Italy.
Handcrafted using the Sommerso technique for layering colors in thick glass, here sublime reflections of pink, violet and deep blue.
An elegant Murano glass element with a beautiful floral abstract structure.
Handmade from high-quality Italian Murano glass, it weighs an extraordinary 1.8 kg.
It features small trapped air bubbles that testify to its uniqueness and handmade character.
The vibrant colors make this piece highly decorative and easy to collect. A simple, minimalist design from the 1970s design era, it can be used as a jewelry bowl, a pocket opener or an ashtray, or displayed with other Murano glass bowls.
Two wider notches are provided for holding cigarettes.
The piece is in good vintage condition, with a few surface scratches.
