Price for lamp including shade
This exceptional table lamp is based on an original Scheurich ceramic vase from the 1960s/70s. Scheurich is one of the most important manufacturers of West German pottery and became internationally renowned, particularly for its experimental glazes and serially produced designer vases. Many of the manufacturer's designs still appear remarkably modern today and exemplify the expressive design language of German modern ceramics.
The vase features a highly sculptural, rhythmically structured form with softly modeled wave patterns – typical of the more experimental Scheurich series of this period. The deep, glossy cobalt blue glaze is particularly striking: depending on the angle of the light, it shimmers between an almost black midnight blue and an intensely luminous ultramarine. The relief-like surface creates captivating light reflections and an extraordinary optical depth.
Dimensions:
Vase: approx. 24 cm high
Lamp overall: approx. 52 cm high
Lampshade: approx. 23 cm diameter, 27 cm height
Lampshade:
The lampshade is covered with a high-quality cotton fabric in a deep dark blue. The stylized crane motif is inspired by Japanese textile designs and harmonizes beautifully with the cool, intense glaze of the vase. The red accents of the fabric echo the edging of the shade and create an elegant, warm lighting atmosphere when the lamp is switched on.
Conversion to a lamp:
The vase has been expertly converted into a table lamp. The cable is routed directly into the socket from the back, eliminating the need to drill a hole in the vase. Equipped with an E27 socket, transparent cable, rocker switch, and European plug.
A distinctive mid-century piece with authentic West German pottery provenance – perfect as a statement piece for a sideboard, lounge, or stylish interior design.
