This decorative bowl is a design by Dries Holten for L'Ancora Blerick, dating from the 1950s or 1960s. It is the 'Mozambique' model, characterized by a distinct mid-century modern aesthetic and a striking graphic profile. The object is crafted from ceramic and features a matte black base. Centrally located on the bowl is a stylized profile of a figure wearing a red headscarf, accented with turquoise details and flowing, light lines. The asymmetrical shape of the rim contributes to the dynamic character of the design. The underside of the bowl is clearly signed with the manufacturer's name and the model.
