This is the 'Lady Hamilton' light object, a design by Berlin-based artist Reinhard Stubenrauch from the 1980s. The piece stands out due to its sculptural design, inspired by Futurism and Brutalism, and combines the function of a floor lamp with that of an art object.
The object is crafted from handmade stainless steel and takes the form of a female torso. On the back, there are three height-adjustable candle holders, allowing for the creation of a unique lighting effect and composition. The dimensions of this rare early work are 155 cm in height, 45 cm in width, and 38 cm in depth.
The light object is in good condition with an authentic character befitting its age. The original metal finish has been preserved.
This sculptural piece comes into its own perfectly in a minimalist or industrial interior. It serves as a striking centerpiece in a living room or hallway, where it has a strong visual presence both during the day and in the evening.
