Product description
Handcrafted ceramic cauldron or tureen with a lid and small handles, bearing the signature "La Chouette Hulotte" on the base. Made in the workshops of Jeanne and Norbert Pierlot at the Château de Ratilly (Yonne), a renowned center of French art ceramics.
Thrown and glazed ceramic, in shades of brown and deep maroon, with natural variations resulting from the firing process.
Period: 1955–1965
