Knut Hesterberg is a world-famous German sculptor who began his career at the graphic arts and design studio in Zurich, Switzerland. Here he came into contact with the architect and artist Max Bill, who had a great influence on Hesterberg's future work. Hesterberg's sculptures have been exhibited throughout Europe. Many of his large-scale sculptures are on permanent display in public buildings throughout Germany and some in Italy. In the late 1960s, he designed sculptural table forms, particularly for Ronald Schmitt Eberbach and to a very limited extent for Bacher Tische in Renningen near Stuttgart, in order to bring art into the realm of people's everyday lives.

Condition:
The glass table is technically and visually in an impeccable, excellent and almost new condition. It is very well cared for and has only very, very minor signs of use. The glass top is in such good condition that we assume that the previous owner replaced it or used tablecloths. It therefore has no chips, chipped edges or cracks, nor the usual scratches from years of use. We could only detect one or two slight streaks in the backlight, and that was it. The high-gloss chrome-plated rings are also as good as new and do not have any of the usual dents or scratches. The small feet are also in very good condition, with none of the usual dents or knocks in the foot area!
Conclusion: Once again, it will be extremely difficult to find a better one!
