The Bertoia Diamond Chair by Knoll was designed in 1952 by Harry Bertoia. The armchair is part of Bertoia's popular furniture collection of sculpted steel mesh. The seat consists of welded, curved steel rods attached to a base with steel runners. The Bertoia Diamond Chair is available for both indoor and outdoor use.
Bertoia was primarily known as a sculptor and designed only one furniture collection. Although he did not initially work as an interior designer, his furniture became extremely popular and is still sold worldwide.
