Original oil painting on panel by British artist Kevin Hendley (1954). Its authenticity was confirmed directly by the artist via email in June 2026.
The title is “The Weather Man” and is based on Robert FitzRoy, the famous meteorologist and captain of HMS Beagle.
The work dates from the early period of Hendley’s career and, according to the artist, was likely sold through Smelik & Stokking Galleries in The Hague.
The painting is executed in oil on panel and is offered in its current frame.

29 cm wide and 39.5 cm high (with frame).
18 cm wide and 29 cm high (visible section).
The painting is in very good condition.
The frame shows some light signs of wear and age at the corners, consistent with age and use.
