From the private collection of architect and artist Erol Oztan, going from 300 to 30 m².
Iconic Kangaroo Chair designed by German designer Ernst Moeckl for Horn Collection in the late 1960s. The design is also known as the Z-Chair due to the characteristic Z-shaped legs that flow smoothly from the shell. The chair is manufactured from a single piece of fiberglass-reinforced plastic and belongs to the experimental generation of monobloc furniture from late modernism. The sculptural design combines armrests, seat, and legs into one fluid form and is representative of the futuristic design of the late 1960s. The chair was produced in various colors; this example shows the original fiberglass base after the removal of subsequent paint or coating layers.
Condition: Vintage condition. The surface shows clear signs of use, discoloration, and wear of the finish consistent with age and use. Structurally stable. The surface has been cleaned / sandblasted, revealing the original fiberglass base. Appraisal value: €900–€1,200 Professionally appraised by INBOEDELTAXATIES.NL – official appraisal report available
