Cordless vase lamp with French coral fabric
Strong red, graphic pattern and a particularly warm light: This cordless table lamp combines an original vintage ceramic vase with a handmade lampshade made of French half-Panama fabric.
The compact vase probably dates from the 1960s/70s. Its deep red, glossy glaze and the small side handle give it a beautiful, almost sculptural shape. I would not reliably assign a manufacturer based on the photo – the shape is reminiscent of West German ceramics of that period, but not characteristic enough to reliably name, for example, Scheurich, Bay or Dümler & Breiden.
The shade is covered with a French half-Panama fabric. The striking coral pattern in red and orange tones looks like a free graphic drawing and wonderfully picks up the color of the ceramic. A dark red trim on the top and bottom edges additionally connects the shade and vase into a single unit.
The lamp is particularly beautiful when switched on: The light fabric allows the warm light to shine through, while the coral motif remains clearly visible. At the same time, soft light reflections are created above and below the shade – a small accent lamp with a remarkably atmospheric effect.
The vintage vase was not drilled or permanently altered for the conversion.
Cordless lighting:
The lamp is operated wirelessly and can therefore be flexibly used wherever atmospheric light is desired – on sideboards, windowsills, bedside tables, bookshelves or as a decorative eye-catcher on the dining table, balcony or terrace. The rechargeable LED bulb is conveniently charged via USB-C and offers – depending on the selected brightness – a lighting duration of up to 12 hours. The included remote control allows individual adjustment of brightness and light color – from warm white ambient light to neutral white. The bulb is CE-tested and can be easily reordered at any time if required.
