This pair of armchairs from the early 1900s embodies the transition from Art Nouveau to Art Deco. The chairs stand out for their refined woodcarving and the geometric upholstery typical of this design period.
The chairs are crafted from solid wood, presumably mahogany or a similar hardwood, and feature striking textile upholstery with a graphic pattern in beige, brown, and gold tones. The backrest displays detailed woodcarving with floral and geometric motifs, including three circular elements at the top. The construction is sturdy, with traditional webbing suspension under the seat.
The chairs are in good vintage condition. The woodwork has developed a warm patina and the upholstery is neatly finished with decorative piping.
Recently completely reupholstered and restored. Top condition.
