.''Unique large work 80x80x3,5 cm, from series of paintings in Street / Pop art style, by Dutch professional / contemporary artist Jovan Srijemac (1962). Work is painted on 3D canvas with acrylic paint, palette knife, and acrylic marker. (Inspiration Andy Warhool eagle). Painting is hand signed, with certificate of authenticity, is varnished and ready to hang. The sides are painted as part of the painting and do not require framing. This work fits well in a modern interior or office space.

My work is close to the expressionist style, but I like to experiment with pop art and action painting.
My work from the 1980s was surrealistic. I wanted to bring a message to the viewers. The main theme was about life in the world, against war. In the 1990s, my work was somber, dark in color, like my feelings. I escaped from my country (former Yugoslavia) in the early 1990s when the war broke out.
In the 00s I was looking for color. so far finally succeeded. My work is now colorful, abstract expressionist.
Most of the work is painted with a pallet knife. Color is applied to the canvas with a feeling and emotion that comes deep from my soul. Theme is less important when I am satisfied with the composition and color. Experimentation in art, with styles, techniques, colors, etc, is very important to me. I think, "If as an artist you only stick to one style all your life, you are dead as an artist." For me, in art and in life, one goal is to keep going!
