For sale is an original, asymmetrical studio ceramic vase by renowned Canadian artist John Bergen, dating from 1992. The striking design captivates with its postmodern aesthetic in the iconic Memphis/New Wave style, featuring geometric lines, dots, and a spiral on a matte-glossy, dark background. A true eye-catcher for lovers of 80s and 90s design! Artist: John Bergen (Canada) Year: 1992 Signature: Original incised mark "JB 92" (for John Bergen, 1992) on the base. There is also an additional small incised mark (a small "m" or a wavy line). Dimensions: approx. 32 cm wide and 24 cm high (large version) Condition: Very good vintage condition. There is a tiny, superficial irregularity in the glaze on the light blue spiral (see detail photo) – this is a production-related glaze defect, not a subsequent scratch. It is only visible upon very close inspection. The colors are vibrant and the glaze is otherwise in excellent condition (see detail photo). Further details can be seen in the photos. The sale is made excluding any liability for material defects.
