Anna Ehrner (1948-) is a Swedish designer and glass artist recognized for her minimalist designs. With an experimental expression, she has the ability to create striking pieces with very little color, where colored rods within the glass have become a recurring element. Her creations are often born from the glass itself, inspired by nature. Her “Atoll” collection is inspired by the coral reefs located in the South Pacific. Each piece in this line is handmade and reflects the impressive swirls of color, purples and pinks, that have been manually applied to the glass. Its natural inspiration and organic forms evoke water and nature, giving it a fluid and striking character. Made with traditional and artisanal methods, each piece is unique, resistant, and durable. It represents the union of tradition and modernity. Kosta Boda was founded in 1742 in Sweden and has expanded significantly throughout the world. The designers who work for this company are from diverse backgrounds, but all share a passion for glass, as well as an innovative approach to crystal and glass design.
