"Psyche and the Wait for the Kiss"

This work is a figurative painting combining oil and acrylic on canvas. It narrates the search of Psyche, in Greek mythology, who seeks Love, who has escaped her spell.
It depicts the female figure suspended and almost desperate, with warm colors and a masterful brushstroke. The protagonist gently touches her lips to rekindle the desire and warmth of a soulmate.
The gaze and the naturalness of a body, imperfect, not exposed to pleasure, become a witness to the message itself and, at the same time, participate in it, going beyond mere observation.
A certificate of authenticity for the original artwork will also be sent with the painting.
Jara Marzulli's works are part of private collections worldwide, as well as public and museum collections, including those in Athens, the MacS in Catania, the Pinacoteca di Gaeta, the Vittoriale degli Italianos in Gardone Riviera, and Cádiz, Spain. Jara Marzulli was born in Bari and graduated from the Liceo Artístico di Bari and later from the Academia de Bellas Artes di Bari with top honors. Since 1998, she has participated in exhibitions and competitions, quickly gaining recognition, awards, and important selections.
Her realistic figurative painting style quickly became recognizable. Since 2004, her work has gained international recognition, with participation in major biennials and exhibitions.
With impeccable technical skill, her art is both ecstatic and visceral, intense and moving. A lucid and heartbreaking expressive quality, without subterfuge, capturing the reality of the represented body, the intense, direct, and intimate gazes, as if they wished to defend the silence of their precious inner world.
She has exhibited in numerous biennials and prestigious exhibitions: in Italy, Turkey, the Art Taipei Fair in Taiwan, China, the Red Elation Gallery in Hong Kong, the MEAM Museum in Barcelona, Dublin, the Mainz Museum in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and London.
