Japanese Satsuma style decorative plate - Oda Jinzo Shoten (織田製) - Japan - Meiji period (1868-1912)
An exquisite and finely detailed Japanese export porcelain decorative plate from the late Meiji period (circa 1890–1912).
The plate is decorated in the highly desirable Satsuma style, featuring an intricate polychrome and gilt landscape composition executed by the renowned Yokohama-based workshop Oda Jinzo Shoten.
Design & Iconography:
The central medallion depicts a classic, idyllic Japanese scene featuring a procession of five geishas dressed in elaborate, hand-painted traditional kimonos (furisode) strolling through a riverbank landscape. The background showcases a traditional multi-tiered pagoda, blooming cherry blossoms (sakura), and the iconic snow-capped peak of Mount Fuji looming majestic in the distance. The entire scene is framed by a striking, tightly patterned geometric border in black and gold gilt.
Markings:
The reverse features the distinct and authentic rectangular gold-on-black cartouche mark reading 織田製 (Oda-sei), meaning "Made by Oda".

Excellent condition. No chips, cracks, hairline fractures, or professional restorations.The crackle glaze remains clean and stable. The hand-painted enamels are exceptionally bright and vivid.
