Italian coffee table from the 1990s, combining smoked glass with a solid wooden base finished in black. The design reflects the Italian approach to furniture of that era — a willingness to juxtapose materials with contrasting properties, playing transparency against weight, coolness against warmth. The round top, spanning one hundred centimetres in diameter, gives the piece a confident presence, while its low profile makes it a natural fit for contemporary seating arrangements.
The structure rests on four cylindrical legs made of solid wood, painted black and connected by intersecting crossbars. This framework, visible through the tinted glass, defines the table's visual identity. The geometry of the base creates a graphic pattern that shifts depending on the viewing angle. The circular glass top sits directly on the legs without additional brackets, preserving a sense of lightness despite the substantial base.
