Beautiful vintage green glass decanter in the shape of an eagle or bird of prey, by Bessi, Italian, collector's item from the 1960s-1970s, marked at the bottom.
These glass decanters came about because people wanted to showcase the fine glass art in Tuscany, originally this decanter contained chianti wine and was sold that way.
The decanter has very fine details, the eyes, beak the feathers, wings and legs are all replicated in detail, the head of the bird rests on the cork and is therefore loose on the decanter.
Bessi Italy decanters came in different decorative shapes and colors, there is also a cat and a decanter in the shape of a car, and the eagle bottle also exists in amber color, so these items have a high collector's value.
The decanter is in very good vintage condition, minute marks on the inside of the cup but no cracks or breaks, check the photos for more details!
