Magnificent, imposing table lamp in a mid-century Scandinavian design style. It features a large, relatively light-colored turned wood base, carved from a single piece of wood with a large, free-standing wooden ring. The original socket and cord (black) are screwed onto a washer at the top. The large vintage lampshade is made of cream/off-white fabric (nylon?), encircled with gold and brown plastic at the base and top, creating an elongated, flattened shape. The base is 37cm high overall, with a maximum diameter of 15cm (ring). The lamp is 63cm high overall with the shade, 34-36cm wide at the maximum, and 20cm deep at the maximum. The cord is approximately 1m long. It can be used as a floor lamp but would also look stunning on a console table or chest of drawers. Unsigned. Very good overall condition, two minor wood grain cracks at the base, not very noticeable, some minor scuff marks and signs of use, relatively discreet, clean lampshade. Functional. Approximately 3.5 kg.
