An iconic and playful design object: the IKEA Krokig freestanding coat rack, designed by Swedish designers Annie Huldén and Sanna Dahlman. This coat rack was released by IKEA in the 90s and is currently beloved by collectors of vintage Scandinavian design and postmodern interiors.
The design immediately stands out thanks to the cheerful colored bands and playful hooks in red, blue, green, yellow, and orange, placed along a white stand. The design aligns with the colorful Memphis style and postmodern design trend that was popular in the 80s and 90s: playful, graphic, and functional all at once.
