This heavy crystal glass ashtray comes from the legendary 'Seita' series, designed by the famous Finnish master designer Tapio Wirkkala for Iittala, Finland (produced around 1970–1980). Wirkkala drew inspiration for this design from the rough, organic structures of Lappish nature, which is beautifully reflected in the 'icy' texture and the whimsical, tree-trimming-like outer rim. The pressed glass catches and refracts the light in a brilliant way. Although originally designed as an ashtray, this object is now a fantastic eye-catcher on the coffee table. Perfect for use as a decorative design bowl, key tray, or for elegantly storing jewelry. This is a vintage item. This means it has been used.
