You hold an iconic piece of design history in your hands. This mirror is an original illuminated wall mirror by Hillebrand Lighting (Germany), produced in the 1970s.
The Hillebrand family, particularly Egon Hillebrand, was known for their innovative lighting designs. In 1954, they launched the 'Leuchtspiegel': a mirror surrounded by lighting in an acrylic ring, which revolutionized bathroom and hallway decoration.
This specific arc model (also known as a "D-shape") is one of the rarer geometric variations alongside the common round and oval models.
Ice Glass Effect: The rim is made of thick, textured acrylic glass (Lucite) with an "iced glass" relief. This diffuses the light from the lamps behind it for a soft, warm glow without glare.
Behind the mirror is a metal fixture with multiple sockets.
