Beautiful 1x extendable dining table from the Danish furniture factory Bramin.
The name refers to the location where the factory was situated, Braming in Jutland, Denmark.
Bramin produced furniture in the high-end and exclusive segment. They primarily produced solid wood furniture in rosewood, oak, or teak.
This table, with its warm-colored top and beautiful wide rim, is in exceptionally fine condition. Be sure to also examine the side and the corners near the legs, where organic forms predominate, thus bearing witness to exceptional craftsmanship.
This table is attributed to top designer H.W. Klein, who worked full-time for Bramin.
Originally Norwegian, Klein, who had a background as a mathematician and linguist, discovered during his career in the navy that his passion lay in furniture design.
In 1949, he began his education at the Frederikberg Tekniske Skole in Denmark, subsequently moving to that country in the early 1950s. His mentor was designer Finn Juhl. Klein's work is characterized by clean lines and perfect balance; the use of materials is fantastic, as is the finish.
His work has been produced by Bramin and only a handful of other high-end manufacturers, ensuring it has always remained very exclusive.
This table is in beautifully fully restored condition; signs of use are minimal.
The table features a removable extension leaf to allow for lengthening. The entire tabletop is also finished with a virtually invisible, durable coating that will protect the table against grease, dirt, and moisture.
It is also worth mentioning that the legs of this table are very easy to unscrew, making it easy to transport and place in smaller homes or homes with narrow staircases.
