This sofa is the Agnes model, a well-known Hungarian furniture design from 1979, here in faux leather upholstery. The Agnes was one of the defining lounge furniture designs of late-Socialist Hungarian production, recognisable for its button-tufted back and generous, enveloping proportions. It works well as a standalone statement sofa or paired with the matching Agnes armchairs.
Condition and Character
Heavy signs of use with wear to the arms and back and several buttons missing. The faux leather upholstery shows heavy, age-appropriate wear across the arms and back panels, and several buttons from the tufted detailing are missing.
