Original vintage bubble glass ceiling lamp designed by Helena Tynell for Glashütte Limburg.
Model 664, produced in the 1960s–1970s.
The glass has the characteristic bubble structure and is in good condition.
On the inner edge, where the glass meets the metal plate, there is a very small chip (see photo). This is not visible when the lamp is mounted, but I'd like to mention it for completeness.
The metal mounting plate is original and marked "LIMBURG 664".
The porcelain socket is also original.
The metal has a light patina commensurate with its age and has a small amount of paint on it (see photo, but I dare not remove it).
A beautiful and authentic piece of mid-century German design, suitable as a ceiling or wall lamp. Condition:
• Small chip on the inner edge of the glass (invisible when mounted)
• Original mounting plate with stamp
• Glass otherwise in very good condition
• Light patina on the metal and a small amount of paint
The lamp can be mounted on both the ceiling and the wall
