The trained locksmith, born in 1900, was drafted towards the end of World War I. In the post-war period, he initially survived by working odd jobs as a locksmith. From 1924 to 1928, he studied at the Bauhaus school, where he focused on lamp design in close collaboration with Marianne Brandt. In 1929, he opened his own workshop in Leipzig, where he produced lamps and other objects. One of his brand names was "ha.p.er" lamps. Przyrembel also developed a gas boiler cover for Junkers in Dessau.
Przyrembel served in the army for six years during World War II. He is believed to have died in captivity.
