Product description
Elegant French hand-painted faience jug with rooster decoration, model 4561, presumably Lorraine (Saint-Clément/Lunéville region), ca. 1900-1930. The jug is richly decorated with, among other things, finely crafted handles, floral motifs, as well as on the spout. In exceptionally good condition for its age! Estimated dating: circa 1900-1930. Origin: presumably France. Material: glazed earthenware / faience. Condition: very neat condition without repairs, chips, or crazing; see photos for a complete impression. A decorative and characterful piece, executed in characteristic pink/purple-red, green, and ochre-yellow shades. This fits perfectly within collections of French earthenware, country interiors, or rooster decorations.
