Special old hand-embroidered Buddhist Thangka, long in family possession. The work is richly executed in silk with gold-colored thread and aligns with the Himalayan Buddhist tradition. The depiction shows a bodhisattva seated on a lotus throne, surrounded by refined symbolic motifs and figures. The embroidery is very detailed, using various embroidery techniques and a beautiful, harmonious color palette. The Thangka was originally placed in a wide gold-colored wooden frame with glass, making it a particularly decorative art object for the interior. The textile shows signs of age and use, including localized discolorations. The embroidery and colors are generally well preserved. Detailed photos, photos without the frame, and photos of the back have been added to give a good impression of the object and its condition.
