Product description
An expressive, hand-carved nutcracker made of hardwood, depicted as a standing monk or clergyman with a long beard and an open book in his hands. The movable element in the mouth serves as a functional nutcracker mechanism – a traditional carving detail rarely found in this quality today. The figure stands on a dark wooden base, has a beautiful warm patina, and displays meticulous handwork in the face, beard, and folds of the robe. A small wooden flap on the back is typical of older, figurative nutcrackers from the Alpine region and Eastern European workshops. An authentic collector's item with character, both decorative and functional. Dimensions: Height approx. 25 cm Base width approx. 6.5 cm Material: Hardwood, hand-carved Period: approx. 1930–1960 A special object for lovers of traditional nutcrackers, woodcarving, and rustic folk art figures. Please view all the pictures. They are part of the description. The item will be very carefully packaged and shipped with tracking and insurance. I prefer DHL. ...
