Iconic anthracite-colored Hala Zeist desk lamp
This model (144) was produced in the 1970s and 1980s. This model was first produced in the 1930s and featured a pull-cord switch. This first version was designed by Herman Busquet, the founder of Hala Zeist.
This vintage lamp consists of a weighted base from which a chrome-plated tube rises. At the top, the tube curves, to which the lamp shade is attached. Both the exterior of the shade and the lamp base are painted in the same anthracite color. The inside of the shade is cream-colored.
The black E27 socket has been renewed, as has the white switch located on the chrome tube. The white cord with a European 2-pin plug has also been replaced.
