Beautiful and rare set of vintage "Sarang" lounge chairs, designed and sold by Habitat in the 80s/90s. Iconic "pod chairs" or "tub chairs" are heavily inspired by the high-end Italian mid-century design style of Gabriella Crespi and Vivai Del Sud from the 70s. They are made of very fine and densely packed rattan (known as pencil reed) over a sturdy, organically shaped frame. This specific pair features a stylish, light/grey whitewash finish that fits beautifully in modern, bohemian, or country interiors. The chairs come with the original, comfortable round seat cushions in black/brown leather.
