A distinctive “Groeten uit Holland” lounge chair designed by Dutch designer Rob Eckhardt in the 1980s and produced by Dutch Originals / Gebr. van der Stroom. A characteristic example of Dutch postmodern design, the chair combines an expressive sculptural form with a strong architectural presence. The design features angular armrests, a sculptural seat and a graphic backrest with a stylized tulip motif, a recognizable reference to Dutch culture. Its vivid orange upholstery contrasts beautifully with the stainless steel frame, a less common variant than the standard black-painted metal version. Both functional and highly decorative, the chair reflects the experimental spirit of Dutch furniture design in the 1980s.
