This book was published to accompany the first major retrospective exhibition of her work, by the Swedish Museum of Architecture. Greta Magnusson Grossman was a Swedish born designer and architect - she first gained fame in her native homeland where she established a shop and workshop and then after marrying moved to USA in 1940, to Los Angeles where she opened a studio/shop on Rodeo drive. The studio focused on furniture and lighting design and sold to a number of well known companies and she designed interiors for stars such as Greta Garbo and Ingrid Bergman. Probably her most famous design was the Grasshopper series of lights. 143 pages with text in English and Swedish, fully illustrated in colour and black and white. At the rear of the book there is a useful 15 page chronology and index which gives further thumbnail pictures of the featured items of furniture together with a brief description.
