Product description
Its slender silhouette combines a slightly flared belly, a pronounced shoulder, and a constricted neck opening into a wide rim. The decoration features wide horizontal bands in deep shades of green, ocher, and brown, with irregular transitions characteristic of the glazes of this period. The interior is covered with a very dark, almost black glaze. The bottom bears the embossed number "1451/30", corresponding to an Übelacker form reference, the suffix "/30" probably indicating the height of the model, here approximately 30 cm. This piece fully embodies the aesthetic of West German Pottery from the 1960s-1970s, with an architectural form and a particularly decorative glaze treatment. Height: 30 cm. Width: 13 cm. Depth: 13 cm. Weight: 1.3 kg. Good general vintage condition, no cracks or breaks. Presence of diffuse crazing of the glaze, small firing irregularities, and slight traces of use consistent with the age of the piece. A decorative vase with a very distinct character, ideal in a modernist, brutalist or Mid-Century interior, on a console, a wooden sideboard or a collector's shelf.
