ORIGINAL GOLDEN EARTHENWOOD VASE
This vase comes from the Royal Earthenware Factory Zuid-Holland in Gouda. They produced earthenware between 1898 and 1965. Three specific characteristics can be noted regarding this Gouda Earthenware Vase:
1. Floral imagery.
2. Expressive use of color based on intense blue and beige/ochre colors on a black contrast.
3. Relatively bold lines.
This beautiful Gouda Earthenware vase, numbered 108, is a magnificent example of Art Deco ceramics. The vase is hand-painted and displays a lively floral motif in rich blue and brown tones, framed by an elegant black base.
